The position

• Optimization and application of a protocol that permits a transfer of
  single nano-objects from DESY NanoLab (SEM, AFM, STM) to PETRA
  III beamlines and repositionierung (hard-/software)
•  Support of in-house beamtimes at PETRA III
• Support of external users with accepted proposals
• Planning and conducting experiments in the field of catalysis using
  coherent and focussed X-ray beams

Requirements

• Physicist, Chemist or Materials Scientist with PhD or similar qualification
  and knowledge
• Experience with synchrotron-based focused X-ray beamlines
•  Experience in the field of catalysis
• Experience with micro- and nanostructuring and/or processing of polymers,
  operation of a scanning-force (AFM) microscope and/or handling
  (ultra-) high vacuum systems is advantageous
• Relevant work experience
• Mobility in the framework of beamtimes at European large scale
  research infrastructures
• Knowledge of English language
• Ability to work in a team
