NFFA-Europe PILOT for new research infrastructure schemes

Kick-off of the NFFA-Europe PILOT project, funded by the European Union with fifteen million euros, for a period of five years. The project, coordinated by the Istituto officina dei materiali of the National Research Council (Cnr-Iom), involves twenty-two partners from nine Member States of the European Union and aims to increasing European competitiveness in nanosciences and nanotechnologies.

TLNet: the backbone of NFFA-Europe

The Technical Liaison Network (TLNet) is the backbone of NFFA-Europe, providing technical information across the NFFA-Europe multi-platform research infrastructure. The TLNet supports the full lifecycle of user proposals, from first explorative contact by the user to data management. The TLNet gives feedback to requests and questions by users and liaises with contact scientists and specific instruments.

DATA infrastructure of NFFA-Europe is taking shape

The First NFFA-EUROPE Science Workshop, recently held in Trieste, featured the first official release of the Information and Data management Repository Platform (IDRP), the tool that allows NFFA-EUROPE users to register, access, share and publish all the data produced within the project.

NFFA-Europe met users at its first science workshop

The first NFFA-Europe Science Workshop entitled “Your Gateway to Nano-science: Open-access Research at NFFA-Europe Facilities” took place in Trieste on 27-28 March 2017. Approaching in time the Mid-Term of the Horizon 2020 grant, the focus of the workshop was set on the scientific achievements obtained to date, featuring in particular selected highlights on results coming from both user access and joint research activities.
