The Research Area RM 1 is situated north of Rome at km 29.300 of the Salaria road along the "Strada della Neve" (S.P. 35t-km 0.7), turning right coming from Rome or left coming from Rieti, in the municipality of Montelibretti and location is logistically strategic:-for those travelling by car is near the junction of Fiano Romano which connects the motorways from Milan, Naples, Aquila, Teramo, Pescara-for air travelers have the railroad FR1/per from Fiumicino airport station Pianabella di Montelibretti is adjacent to borders of the Area-Is also made a shuttle service to/from the CNR departing from the Area on Monday, Wednesday, Friday at 9.40 with return from 11.00 a.m. the CNR headquarters.
From Fiumicino airport by train FR 1 – stop Pianabella di Montelibretti.
From Termini by metro line B – Stazione Tiburtina. Then with the railway FR 1 – stop Pianabella di Montelibretti.
o From Milano-Napoli exit at Fiano Romano: head towards Rieti and exit at via Salaria towards Roma. After about 5 km turn left towards Palombara Sabina (km 29.300 via Salaria; "Via della Neve").
o From the highway Naples-Milan. After ValMontone take the motorway direction Milano, exit at Fiano Romano, head towards Rieti and exit at via Salaria towards Roma. After about 5 km turn left towards Palombara Sabina (km 29.300 via Salaria; "Path of Snow"). Alternatively it is possible to exit at Roma Sud, turn right onto the Grande Raccordo Anulare and exit at via Salaria towards Rieti.
o From motorways Pescara – Rome (A25) that engages in L'aquila – Roma (24). After Tivoli take the motorway direction Milano, exit at Fiano Romano, head towards Rieti and exit at via Salaria towards Roma. After about 5 km turn left towards Palombara Sabina (km 29.300 via Salaria; "Via della Neve").
o From Rome and from the Grande Raccordo Anulare, take the via Salaria towards Rieti: after MonteRotondo Scalo and after about 4 km, turn right towards Palombara Sabina (km 29.300 via Salaria; "Path of Snow").
