CSIC (www.csic.es), as linked 3rd party of beneficiary PRUAB, will host NFFA-Europe users in two of its institutes: CNM (National Microelectronics Center, www.cnm.es), and ICMAB (Institute of Materials, www.icmab.es), both located at the UAB campus in Bellaterra (20 km from Barcelona).Together with PRUAB, UAB, ICN2 and ALBA, the two CSIC institutes form the Barcelona Nanocluster-Bellaterra (BNC-b).

ICMAB and CNM, jointly offer a comprehensive set of top-down and bottom-up technological resources of nano relevance encompassing material growth, pattern definition and transfer, ancillary techniques for micro-nanodevice fabrication, and structural and functional characterization. They have nanomaterials and nanofabrication as their core business and have already established a collaboration with nearby synchrotron ALBA.  CNM manages a 1500m² Micro-nanofabrication Clean Room facility, the larger in Spain.
