FORTH is the largest and most successful Research Institution in Greece (1125 personnel). The organization is incorporating a comprehensive portfolio of expertise and means for research and development on nanoscale. The institute is part of highly competitive ecosystem of researchers, innovators and companies in the domain of nanoscience and nanotechnologies.   The multi-disciplinary scientific laboratory and facilities offer state-of-the-art tools for research on fundamental and applied issues related to materials science and technology and laser interactions with matter. In the project FORTH participates to NFFA-Europe with the institute of electronic structure and laser. IESL-FORTH combines excellent experimental facilities with a rich spectrum of research activities and scientific expertise that provide an intellectual environment, ideal for fostering new ideas and advancing scientific research.
