JCNS @MLZ
Jülich Centre for Neutron Science at MLZ

JCNS operates 11 neutron scattering instruments at the MLZ large scale facility partly in close cooperation with partners. The mission is to offer world class instrumentation at the best neutron source for a wide spectrum of scientific fields. In a continuous effort these instruments are optimised to address future needs and attract the best users. Results of these experiments in the various fields of science may make contributions to address the grand challenges. In addition, two more instruments are in the construction phase to offer an even wider spectrum of experimental possibilities. A number of complimentary laboratories are also offered to the users for the preparation and characterisation of the samples.

JCNS shares with the NFFA-EU Project four neutron scattering instruments and the Molecular Beam Epitaxy.
